  1. Line a roomy bowl with pudding paste.
  2. Prepare four snipes as for roasting.
  3. Lay a thin steak on the bottom of the hollowed paste.
  4. Place the snipes over it with bacon slices between them.
  5. Cover them with another thin steak.
  6. Before closing the paste, put in a coffee-cupful of very strong jelly gravy not liquefied.
