  1. Take your lobster, and put a skewer in the vent of the tail, to prevent the water from getting into the body of the lobster.
  2. Put it into a pan of boiling water, with a little salt in it.
  3. If it be a large one it will take half an hour's boiling.
  4. When you take it out, put a lump of butter in a cloth, and rub it over.
  5. it will strike the colour, and make it look bright.

To boil LOBSTERS. TAKE your lobster, and put a skewer in the vent of the tail, to prevent the water from getting into the body of the lobster, put it into a pan of boiling water, with a little salt in it, if it be a large one it will take half an hour's boiling; when you take it out, put a lump of butter in a cloth, and rub it over, it will strike the colour, and make it look bright.
