Ginger Cake. No. 5. For luncheon. 1 lb. flour, ½ lb. brown sugar, ½ lb. treacle, ½ lb. butter, 2 ozs. ginger, 3 eggs, a little candied peel, ½ teaspoonful bicarbonate of soda. Bake 1 hour in a slow oven.
