  1. Put two quarts of water to a pint of rice.
  2. let it boil till you think it done enough;
  3. then throw it in a spoutful of salt, and toss it out into a cullender;
  4. then let it stand about five minutes before the fire to dry, and serve it up in a dish by itself.
  5. Dish it up and season it to table, the rice in a dish by itself.
