Lemonade.
TAKE two Seville oranges and six lemons, pare
them very thin, and steep the parings four hours in two
quarts of water. Put the juice of six oranges and twelve
lemons upon three quarters of a pound of fine sugar, and
when the sugar is melted, put the water to it in which
the parings have been steeped. Add a little orange
flower water, and more sugar if necessary. Press it
through a bag till it is fine, and then pour it into bottles
for use.
