  1. Boil, in half a pint of water, one pound and a half of lump sugar.
  2. Have ready one pint of eggs, three parts yelks, in a pan.
  3. Pour in the sugar, and whisk it quick till cold, or about a quarter of an hour.
  4. Then stir in two pounds of sifted flour.
  5. Case the inside of square tins with white paper.
  6. Fill them three parts full.
  7. Sift a little sugar over.
  8. Bake it in a warm oven.
  9. While hot remove them from the moulds.

Diet Bread Cake.—(No. 74.)
