  1. Boil half a pint of water with a little mace and whole pepper, long enough to take out the strong taste of the spice, then strain it off.
  2. Melt three quarters of a pound of butter smooth in the water.
  3. Cut your lobster in very small pieces.
  4. Stew it all together tenderly with anchovy.
  5. Serve it up hot.

To make LOBSTER SAUCE.
