TAKE one spoonful of oatmeal, boil it in
three pints of water for an hour and a half, or
till it is fine and smooth, then take it off the fire
and let it stand to settle, then pour it in a China
bowl, and add white wine, sugar, and nutmeg to
your taste, serve it up hot with a buttered toast
upon a plate.
