  1. Take a little sage, a little balm, and put it into a pan.
  2. Slice a lemon, peel and all.
  3. Add a few nobs of sugar.
  4. Add one glass of white wine.
  5. Pour on them two or three quarts of boiling water.
  6. Cover it.
  7. Drink when dry.
  8. When you think it strong enough of the herbs, take them out, otherwise it will make it bitter.
