MICHAELMAS QUARTER. COD and haddock, coalfiſh, white and pouting hake, ling, ruſſes and muller, red and grey, weaver, gurnet, rocker, herrings, ſprats, foals and flounders, plaice, tubs and ſimmer-dabs, cels, ſharks, ſearne, thornbacks, and hunlyn, kiſſon, oyſters and col- lops, ſalmon, ſea perch and carp, pike, tench, and ſea tench. Scate maides are black, and thornback maides white. Gray bass comes with the muller. In this quarter are fine ſmelts, and hold till after Christmas. There are two sorts of mullets, the ſea mullet, and river mul- let, both equally good.
