  1. Boil the water, isinglass, and cloves to a pint.
  2. Strain the mixture upon the loaf sugar.
  3. When cold, sweeten your tea with it.
  4. To make jelly as above, leave out the cloves.
  5. Sweeten to your palate and add a little wine.

TAKE a quart of water, one ounce of isinglass, half an ounce of cloves; boil them to a pint, then strain it upon a pound of loaf sugar, and when cold sweeten your tea with it. You make the jelly as above, and leave out the cloves. Sweeten to your palate, and add a little wine. All other jellies you have in another chapter.
