  1. Cut your veal into thin slices, and then into small bits.
  2. Put it into a saucepan with half a pint of gravy, a little pepper and salt, a slice of lemon, a good piece of butter rolled in flour, a tea-spoonful of lemon-pickle, and a large spoonful of cream.
  3. Keep shaking it over the fire till it boils.
  4. Have sippets of bread ready in the dish, and then pour the whole over them.
  5. Garnish with sliced lemon.

Veal minced. FIRST cut your veal into thin ſlices, and then into ſmall bits. Put it into a saucepan with half a pint of gravy, a little pepper and ſalt, a ſlice of lemon, a good piece of butter rolled in flour, a tea-ſpoonful of lemon-pickle, and a large ſpoonful of cream. Keep ſhaking it over the fire till it boils, have fippets of bread ready in the diſh, and then pour the whole over them. Garniſh with ſliced lemon.
