  1. Boil six eggs hard, and shred them small.
  2. Shred double the quantity of suet.
  3. Add currants (washed and picked), one pound or more, if the eggs were large.
  4. Add the peel of one lemon, shredded very fine.
  5. Add half the juice of the lemon.
  6. Add six spoonfuls of sweet wine.
  7. Add mace, nutmeg, sugar, a very little salt, orange, lemon, and citron candied.
  8. Make a light paste for them.

Egg Mincepies. Boil six eggs hard, and shred them small: shred double the quantity of suet; then put currants 136washed and picked, one pound or more, if the eggs were large; the peel of one lemon shred very fine, half the juice, six spoonfuls of sweet wine, mace, nutmeg, sugar, a very little salt, orange, lemon, and citron candied. Make a light paste for them.
