  1. Wash and pick some rice.
  2. Throw among it some pimento finely pounded, but not much.
  3. Tie the rice in a cloth, leaving plenty of room for it to swell.
  4. Boil it in a quantity of water for an hour or two.
  5. When done, eat it with butter and sugar, or milk.
  6. Put lemon-peel if you please.
  7. It is very good without spice, and eaten with salt and butter.
