  1. Cover four bushels of blackberries with boiling hot water.
  2. Squeeze them, and put them into a vessel to work.
  3. After working, draw or pour off the liquor into a cask.
  4. Add a gallon of brandy and a quart of port wine.
  5. Let it work again.
  6. Then bung it up for six months, and bottle it.
