  1. Peel the onions.
  2. Boil the onions in milk and water, adding a turnip to the pot.
  3. Change the water twice during boiling.
  4. Pulp the onions through a colander, or chop them as desired.
  5. Place the prepared onions into a saucepan.
  6. Add butter, cream, a little flour, and some pepper and salt to the saucepan.
  7. Cook the mixture.

Onion Sauce. Let the onions be peeled; boil them in milk and water, and put a turnip into the pot; change the water twice: pulp them through a colander, or chop them as you please; then put them into a saucepan, with butter, cream, a little flour, and some pepper and salt.
