  1. Cut the butter up in the flour as finely as possible.
  2. Dissolve the sugar in the water.
  3. Add it to the butter and flour.
  4. Beat the eggs till very light and add them to the mixture.
  5. Dissolve the soda in a very little hot water and stir it in.
  6. Roll the caraway seeds in a little flour, and add them, mixing thoroughly.
  7. Roll out lightly and cut in round shapes.
  8. Bake quickly on a greased tin.
