Strengthening Meat Jelly. Dr. Jephson's.
½ lb. beef, 1 lb. veal, cut into small slices and put into
a jar tightly closed. Set the jar in a pan of water, and let
it simmer near the fire 10 or 12 hours.
It may be eaten with or without salt, and either cold or
warmed. Being made without water it is a strong essence.
