  1. Peel the 9 lemons very thin.
  2. Put these parings and 1 lb. of refined sugar in 1 qt. of boiling water at night.
  3. The next morning add the juice of the 9 lemons to the previous mixture.
  4. Boil 1 qt. of new milk and pour it upon the lemonade.
  5. Pass the whole carefully through a fine jelly sieve.

Lemonade. No. 4. “ Milk Lemonade.” (Lady Clark.) Take 9 lemons and peel them very thin; put these parings and 1 lb. of refined sugar in 1 qt. of boiling water at night. The next morning add the juice of the 9 lemons to the previous mixture; then boil 1 qt. of new milk and pour it upon the lemonade. Pass the whole carefully through a fine jelly sieve.
