  1. Dry half a pound of very fine wheat flour, and as much sugar finely sifted before the fire; dry the flour more than the sugar.
  2. Take four new laid eggs, take out the strings, then whisk them very well.
  3. Put the sugar in, and whisk it well with the eggs.
  4. Put the flour in it, and beat all together half an hour at the least.
  5. Put in some comfits, or carraway seeds.
  6. Rub the plates with butter, and set them into the oven.

To make Biskuit Bread. DRY half a pound of very fine wheat flour, and as much sugar finely fierced before the fire, dry the flour more than the sugar; then take four new laid eggs, take out the strings, then swing them very well, then put the sugar in, and swing it well with the eggs, then put the flour in it, and beat all together half an hour at the least; put in some comfits, or carraway seeds, and rub the plates with butter, and set them into the oven.
