  1. Put ten pounds of raisins of the sun, to two ounces of turmerick, half an ounce of ginger beaten.
  2. Take a quantity of raisins, and grind them as you do mustard seed in a bowl, with a little cyder.
  3. Grind the rest of the raisins.
  4. Sprinkle the turmerick and ginger amongst the raisins.
  5. Put all into a fine canvas bag, and hang it in the middle of the hogshead close.
  6. Let it lie.
  7. After the cyder has stood thus a fortnight or a month, you may bottle it.

After it has fined. PUT ten pounds of raisins of the sun, to two ounces of turmerick, half an ounce of ginger beaten; then take a quantity of raisins, and grind them as you do mustard seed in a bowl, with a little cyder; and so the rest of the raisins; then sprinkle the turmerick and ginger amongst it; then put all into a fine canvas bag, and hang it in the middle of the hogshead close, and let it lie. After the cyder has stood thus a fortnight or a month, you may bottle it.
