  1. Provide rasberries that are not too ripe.
  2. Take their weight in sugar.
  3. Wet your sugar with a little water.
  4. Put in your berries.
  5. Let them boil softly, taking care not to break them.
  6. When they are clear, take them up.
  7. Boil the syrup till it is thick enough.
  8. Then put them in again.
  9. When they are cold put them up in glasses.

To preserve Rasberries. PROVIDE rasberries that are not too ripe, and take their weight in sugar, wet your sugar with a little water, and put in your ber- ries, and let them boil softly, taking care not to break them; when they are clear, take them up, and boil the syrup till it is thick enough, then put them in again, and when they are cold put them up in glasses.
