Ingredients (7)

the juice of six oranges ↝ Orange, raw [Citrus fruits]
six eggs well beaten ↝ Eggs, Grade A, Large, egg whole [Dairy and Egg Products]
a pint of cream ↝ Cream, whipped [Cream cheese, sour cream, whipped cream]
a quarter of a pound of sugar ↝ Sugar, NFS [Sugars and honey]
a little cinnamon ↝ Sugar, cinnamon [Sugars and honey]
nutmeg ↝ Oil, nutmeg butter [Fats and Oils]
a little piece of butter ↝ Butter, stick, unsalted [Dairy and Egg Products]

Mix all together, and keep stirring over a slow fire till it is thick
then put in a little piece of butter, and keep stirring till cold, and dish it up

To make Orange Fool.
TAKE the juice of six oranges and six eggs well beaten, a pint of cream, a quarter of a pound of sugar, a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix all together, and keep stirring over a slow fire till it is thick; then put in a little piece of butter, and keep stirring till cold, and dish it up.
