lemon, with half an onion cut very small, a bunch of sweet-
herbs, and a blade of mace. Put your meat with these
into the pan, stir them together for five or six minutes,
and then put in about half a pint of gravy, with an an-
chovy minced small, and a piece of butter rolled in flour.
Stir the whole well together, and when it has stewed about
ten minutes, dish it up, and serve it to table. Garnish
with pickles and sliced lemon.
