  1. Pare six lemons and three Seville oranges very thin.
  2. Squeeze the juice into a large teapot.
  3. Put to it two quarts of brandy, one of white wine, and one of milk, and one pound and a quarter of sugar.
  4. Let it be mixed, and then covered for twenty four hours.
  5. Strain through a jellybag till clear.
  6. Then bottle it.
