  1. Mix together 1lb. of flour and a tea-spoonful each of salt and baking powder.
  2. Beat two eggs till light and mix them with a gill of cream or new milk.
  3. Stir this into the flour till it is a stiff dough (some flours require a little more cream or milk).
  4. Turn this dough out on to a floured board.
  5. Roll it out ğin. thick.
  6. Stamp it out in small rounds with a tumbler.
  7. Prick the top with a fork.
  8. Bake fifteen minutes in a quick oven.
  9. Serve hot.

Scones, Cream. —Mix together 1lb. of flour and a tea-spoonful each of salt and baking powder, beat two eggs till light and mix them with a gill of cream or new milk, and stir this into the flour till it is a stiff dough (some flours require a little more cream or milk).
