  1. Boil three or four laurel-leaves in one pint of cream, and strain it.
  2. When cold, add the yolks of three eggs beaten and strained.
  3. Then sweeten it.
  4. Put in it a very little brandy.
  5. Scald it till thick, and keep stirring it all the time.
