Ten pounds of fruit ↝ Currants, european black, raw [Fruits and Fruit Juices]
a gallon of water ↝ Water, tap [Tap water]
four pounds and a half of sugar ↝ Sugar, NFS [Sugars and honey]

Instructions (3)

Let the fruit and water stand for two or three days.
Press off the liquor.
Add four pounds and a half of sugar to every gallon of liquor.

Black Currant Wine.

Ten pounds of fruit to a gallon of water; let it stand two or three days. When pressed off, put to every gallon of liquor four pounds and a half of sugar.
