  1. Cut the inside of a rather stale twopenny loaf as fine as possible.
  2. Pour over it boiled milk sufficient to allow of its being beaten, while warm, to the thickness of cream.
  3. Put in a small piece of butter while hot.
  4. Beat into it four almond macaroons.
  5. Sweeten it to your taste.
  6. Beat four eggs, leaving out two whites.
  7. Boil it three quarters of an hour.

Rich Bread Pudding.
