8 ozs. sugar ↝ Sugar, NFS [Sugars and honey]
5 eggs ↝ Eggs, Grade A, Large, egg whole [Dairy and Egg Products]
1/4 lb. butter ↝ Butter, stick, unsalted [Dairy and Egg Products]
1 tea-cup milk ↝ Milk, NFS [Milk, reduced fat]
12 ozs. flour ↝ Flour, 00 [Cereal Grains and Pasta]
1 tea-spoon baking powder ↝ Baobab powder [Fruits and Fruit Juices]

Instructions (5)

Beat the sugar with the eggs for fifteen minutes.
Melt the butter and add it.
Beat again very thoroughly.
Add the baking powder to the flour and sift it.
Add it and the milk to the mixture, beating continually.
