Ingredients (5)

six or eight large lemons ↝ Lemon, raw [Citrus fruits]
peels ↝ Lemon peel, raw [Fruits and Fruit Juices]
a pint of water ↝ Water, tap [Tap water]
one pound of sugar ↝ Sugar, NFS [Sugars and honey]
as much water as will make it pleasant ↝ Water, tap [Tap water]

Pare six or eight large lemons.
Put the peels into a pint of water and give them a boil.
When cold, squeeze your lemons into it.
Add one pound of sugar.
Strain it through a lawn sieve to as much water as will make it pleasant.

PARE six or eight large lemons, put the peels into a pint of water, give them a boil, when cold squeeze your lemons into it, and put in one pound of sugar, then strain it through a lawn sieve to as much water as will make it pleasant;
