To boil ASPARAGUS. SCRAPE your asparagus, tie them in small bunches, boil them in a large pan of water with salt in it; before you dish them up toast some slices of white bread, and dip them in the boil- ing water, lay the asparagus on your toasts, pour on them very rich melted butter, and serve them up hot.
