  8. Dish them up.
  9. Pour egg sauce on them.

To dress young Codlings like SALT FISH. TAKE young Codlings, gut and dry them well with a cloth, fill their eyes full of salt, throw a little on the back-bone, and let them lie all night, then hang them up by the tail a day or two: as you have occasion for them, boil them in spring water, and drain them well, dish them up, and pour egg sauce on them, and send them to the table.
