  1. Pour on the crumb of a penny loaf a pint of cream boiling hot.
  2. Cut a pound of beef marrow very thin.
  3. Beat four eggs very well.
  4. Add a glass of brandy, with sugar and nutmeg to your taste, and mix them all well up together.
  5. You may either boil or bake it.
  6. Three quarters of an hour will do it.
  7. Cut two ounces of citron very thin, and stick them all over it when you dish it up.

A Marrow Pudding. POUR on the crumb of a penny loaf a pint of cream boiling hot, cut a pound of beef marrow very thin, beat four eggs very well, then add a glass of brandy, with sugar and nutmeg to your taste, and mix them all well up together; you may either boil or bake it, three quarters of an hour will do it, cut two ounces of citron very thin, and stick them all over it when you dish it up.
