  1. Boil half a pint of milk with a bit of cinnamon.
  2. Add four eggs, with the whites well beaten.
  3. Add the rind of a lemon grated.
  4. Add half a pound of suet chopped fine.
  5. Add as much bread as will do.
  6. Pour your milk on the bread and suet.
  7. Keep mixing it till cold.
  8. Then put in the lemon peel, eggs, a little sugar, and some nutmeg grated fine.
  9. Either bake or boil it, as you think proper.

BOIL half a pint of milk with a bit of cinnamon, four eggs, with the whites well beaten, the rind of a lemon grated, half a pound of suet chopped fine, as much bread as will do; pour your milk on the bread and suet, keep mixing it till cold, then put in the lemon peel, eggs, a little sugar, and some nutmeg grated fine.
