  1. Let a half pint of freshly made coffee cool thoroughly.
  2. Mix three tablespoonfuls of flour in milk till quite smooth.
  3. Turn three eggs well beaten together into the milk and flour.
  4. Add the cold coffee and half a pint of milk, sugar to taste.
  5. Cook as for custard.
