Cayenne Cheese."
Take ½ lb. butter, of flour, and of grated Parmesan, or even good common cheese, a little cayenne pepper, and salt. Make this into a paste, and roll out as thin as possible; cut into pieces 4 inches long, and ½ inch broad.
Bake in a quick oven till a light brown, and serve hot.
The same mixture makes “Biscuits Marie Louise,” but they are baked in a slow oven.
