Dumplings—Lemon. (Beechwood.)
½ lb. of stale bread grated, ½ lb. of suet chopped very fine, 2 eggs and the juice of a lemon with the rind also (very finely grated), sugar to taste.
To be made into small balls. Bake a light brown in a moderate oven, and serve with melted butter or wine sauce. They are tasteless if boiled.
