Strawberry Jam. No. 1. (Mrs. Young. 1877.)
To 6 lbs. of fruit take 7 lbs. of loaf sugar.
Dissolve the sugar in 1 pt. of cold water. Stir all the time
and let it boil for 5 minutes. Put in the fruit and boil slowly
for ⅓ of an hour.
Unstoned Cherry jam is made the same way.
