  1. To every pound of lavender-neps put a quart of water.
  2. Put them into a cold still, and make a slow fire under it.
  3. Distill it off very slowly, and put it into a pot full you have distilled all your water.
  4. Then clean your still well and put your lavender-water into it, and distill it off as slowly as before.
  5. Then put it into bottles, cork them quite close, and set them by for use.
