  1. Put three pounds of sugar into three quarts of water, let them boil together, and skim it well.
  2. Then put in six pounds of apricots pared and stoned, and let them boil till they are tender.
  3. Take out the apricots, and when the liquor is cold, bottle it up.
  4. For present use the apricots will make good marmalade.
