  1. Lay them a few minutes in hot water.
  2. Take them out, rub them well with salt, and take off the skin and black dirt, that they may look white.
  3. After this put them into water, and give them a boil.
  4. Then take them out, flour them well, strew on some pepper and salt, and lay them on the gridiron.
  5. When enough lay them on your dish, and pour over them melted butter and mustard.
