pie.—Stir together a tablespoonful each
of sifted flour and butter over the fire till perfectly
pasty. Now mix in a pint of milk, and stir till it
boils, then add a pint of grated corn, a teaspoonful
of salt, a saltspoonful of white pepper, and a tablespoonful
of sugar. Turn this into a buttered piedish,
and bake for twenty minutes in a hot oven. Serve
very hot.
