  1. Shave off any brown rancid part from the bacon.
  2. Put the bacon on to boil in plenty of cold water.
  3. When it is nearly done put in the peas with a good bunch of mint.
  4. Let all boil together until the peas are done soft.
  5. Dish up the peas round the bacon.
