for boiling

one pint of milk ↝ Milk, NFS [Milk, reduced fat]
a piece of cinnamon ↝ Sugar, cinnamon [Sugars and honey]
lemon-peel ↝ Lemon peel, raw [Fruits and Fruit Juices]

for the pudding

two ounces of bread-crumbs ↝ Bread, crumbs, dry, grated, seasoned [Baked Products]
two eggs ↝ Eggs, Grade A, Large, egg whole [Dairy and Egg Products]
half an ounce of currants ↝ Currants, european black, raw [Fruits and Fruit Juices]
a little sugar ↝ Sugar, NFS [Sugars and honey]

Instructions (4)

Boil one pint of milk, with a piece of cinnamon and lemon-peel.
Pour it on two ounces of bread-crumbs.
Then add two eggs, half an ounce of currants, and a little sugar.
Steam it in a buttered mould for one hour.
