  1. Dry the flour well which you intend to use.
  2. Mix a little pounded sugar and finely pounded mace with it.
  3. Make it into a thick batter with cream.
  4. Butter the wafer irons.
  5. Let them be hot.
  6. Put a teaspoonful of the batter into them.
  7. Bake them carefully.
  8. Roll them off the iron with a stick.
