Ingredients (4)

a pound of single-refined sugar, finely sifted
grate as much chocolate as will colour it
an ounce of beaten almonds ↝ Nuts, almonds, whole, raw [Nut and Seed Products]
froth of whites of eggs ↝ Egg, white only, raw [Eggs and omelets]

Instructions (3)

Mix the sifted sugar, grated chocolate, and beaten almonds well together.
Wet the mixture with the froth of whites of eggs.
Bake it.

Chocolate Puffs.

Take a pound of single-refined sugar, finely sifted, and grate as much chocolate as will colour it; add an ounce of beaten almonds; mix them well together; wet it with the froth of whites of eggs, and bake it.
