one pint of single cream ↝ Cream, light [Cream and cream substitutes]
three ounces of castor sugar ↝ Sugars, granulated [Sweets]
a quarter of a pint of orange-flower water
a teaspoonful of vanilla essence
two tablespoonfuls of brandy ↝ Brandy [Liquor and cocktails]
Marshall's Carmine
two ounces of finely-cut dried cherries ↝ Cherries, dried [Dried fruits]
one ounce of crystallised rose-leaves that are cut up ↝ Chrysanthemum leaves, raw [Vegetables and Vegetable Products]

Instructions (5)

Mix one pint of single cream with three ounces of castor sugar, a quarter of a pint of orange-flower water, a teaspoonful of vanilla essence, and two tablespoonfuls of brandy.
Colour the mixture a very pale pink with Marshall's Carmine.
Partly freeze the mixture.
Add two ounces of finely-cut dried cherries and one ounce of crystallised rose-leaves that are cut up.
Refreeze and use.

ORANGE-FLOWER WATER CREAM FOR ALHAMBRA BOMB.—Take one pint of single cream, mix with it three ounces of castor sugar, a quarter of a pint of orange-flower water, a teaspoonful of vanilla essence, and two tablespoonfuls of brandy; colour a very pale pink with Marshall's Carmine, partly freeze it, add two ounces of finely-cut dried cherries and one ounce of crystallised rose-leaves that are cut up; refreeze and use.
