  1. Take half a pint of lemon jelly (see recipe), flavoured with maraschino syrup;
  2. add to it a few drops of Marshall's Carmine,
  3. pour it out on a dish or tin,
  4. place it on a little crushed ice,
  5. and when set stamp it out into the desired shapes, and use as instructed.
