  1. Place a quarter of a pound of Chocolate Menier in a stone saucepan for ten minutes covered with cold water.
  2. Let it stand on the side of the stove.
  3. Work it into a smooth paste and add water or milk to make it a pint.
  4. No sugar.
  5. Place it over the fire and bring it to a boil.
  6. Do this six times, lifting it from the fire each time it boils.
